There are lots of restaurants and shopping centers off Blossom Hill, and it’s very close to the freeways.”

Oak Grove is surrounded by many parks and green spaces. “Martial Cottle Park is one of the greatest things that we have in Oak Grove,” says Liborio Millares, Realtor at Compass with nearly a decade of experience. “You can walk around the park and see lots of young families with strollers walking with the grandparents. They also have a volunteer program with high schools. It’s a very active community park.” The 287-acre park also has community gardens and educational programs about sustainable farming. Coy Park features a safari-themed playground and open green space, while Chynoweth Park is popular for jogging and dog walking. Farther north, Edenvale Gardens Regional Park has facilities for basketball, tennis and volleyball.
Elementary and middle schools in Oak Grove are part of Oak Grove School District, including Del Roble Elementary School. Oak Grove High School is part of East Side Union High School District and offers many performing arts curriculums. Both school districts have interdistrict and intradistrict transfer options.
Students can also apply to several alternative schools, including the top-rated charter high school, Summit Tahoma, and Apostles Lutheran School, which covers transitional kindergarten through 12th grade.
