National brokerage Century 21 Real Estate has expanded further into Colorado with the addition of three offices from a formerly independent brokerage.

First Colorado Land Office joined Century 21 in late May, bringing together three offices and 20 agents, according to owner Jeff Post. The brokerage has locations in Salida and Buena Vista, Colorado, with a 2024 sales volume of $179 million, according to Post.

First Colorado was established in 1973, and Post joined in 2000, taking over as owner in 2006.

“First Colorado Land Office has been the oldest continually operated real estate company in Chaffee County, and as we’ve been very successful through the years and have held market share, I felt like I needed to be able to give some extra tools to the brokers that are with us,” said Post in an interview.

Post searched for an affiliate brokerage for a year before selecting Century 21 for its communication, educational and self-promotion tools, he said.

First Colorado will be known as the Century 21 Community First team. It’s the only Century 21 team within 60 miles, added Post. Century 21 has four other affiliate offices in Colorado working out of Denver, Fort Collins, Grand Junction and Montrose.

Century 21 affiliated with the Denver office in 2022 and Grand Junction in 2020.

The brokerage also affiliated two brokerages in addition to First Colorado in May: Nevada Prime Real Estate will be Century 21 Prime, and Flavin Realty merged with an existing affiliate to create Century 21 Bessette Flavin in Louisiana.
