I'm a broker specializing in Manhattan Beach and the longtime author of Manhattan Beach Confidential (mbconfidential.com), an independent blog about local real estate, published continuously since 2007.

The site provides a buyer's perspective on the Manhattan Beach real estate market, with independent news, reviews and analysis. No gloss, no puffery, just calling it like it is.

I've lived in Manhattan Beach for 25 years and have come to know this community intimately. I have kids in the public schools, and I am a huge booster of our system.

My favorite part of working with buyers and sellers is to apply and share my local knowledge. When someone is new to town, I can usually help them find a new pocket of Manhattan Beach that suits them nicely.

In negotiations, I am both scientific and realistic. I will tell you what I think a home is really worth. These days, we've transitioned out of a buyer's market and sellers have the upper hand. Sometimes that means we have to "win" a bidding war to get the property. I've been through those battles and can help you, too.

After an offer is accepted, the management of a transaction has its own challenges. I'll help you get through those and complete the deal.

Want to know a bit more about me? I'm married with two great kids, a dog and a cat. I've coached my boys' baseball and soccer teams, and served on our Little League board of directors. I sponsor two annual 5K races in town, and I am director of a charity softball tournament in June where parents play one another for a good cause.
