Thrilled to continue delving into his lifelong passion for real estate, Doug Carver joins The Agency with a distinct service-first approach and nuanced insight into the diverse communities and lifestyles that the L.A. area offers. Doug brings many years of working as a real estate investor, landlord and hotel owner and vast knowledge of the development and investment side of the business to his clientele.
Originally from Boston, Doug’s fascination with real estate began as he watched his father work as a developer and property manager throughout his childhood. Doug attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and worked as a leasing agent during his college summer breaks, leasing apartments in the historic Beacon Hill neighborhood of downtown Boston.
Doug’s career also encompasses many years as a senior account manager with a number of advertising agencies, where he worked with clients such as Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Lexus, Chrysler and Nissan and helped them develop their brands. This experience provided him with key skills he uses every day as a real estate agent: effectively identifying client needs, creating strategic marketing solutions that solve problems and productively communicating and listening.
Now, residing in Marina Del Rey, Doug focuses on serving Westside clients from Pacific Palisades and Playa del Rey to Brentwood and Santa Monica. When he is not helping his clients buy and sell real estate, his time is devoted to his family, especially his two sons Spencer (23) and Ethan (20). You can find him walking, kayaking, biking, hiking, and enjoying the amazing SoCal weather in the summer and hitting the ski slopes in Mammoth during the winter. Additionally, Doug loves dogs and participates with the Pasadena Humane Society.
