GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Annapolis High School offers many program opportunities for students. For example the Apex program which I myself is involved in. They also offer the IB program and Cat South. My school also provides teachers who truly do care to see their students succeed. This school also provides me clubs and sports for students to participate in and meet many people. I feel as though my school gives students many opportunities to get to know your fellow classmates. They make it easier to find your people and get the help you need when it comes to school

Annapolis High School has been a wonderful experience. The principal is one of the most communicative and positive administrators I have ever met. I love waking up to his "Good Morning Panthers" during this year of virtual learning. I have had overwhelmingly positive experiences with the teachers. They are communicative and helpful and genuinely appreciate me. The classes are challenging. The clubs are well run and engaging. The counselors are helpful and compassionate. I never had too much homework for the level of classes I was taking. I love the diverse student body and the opportunity to learn from others who are different. I appreciate all of the work the passionate PTSA to support our school and other volunteers who have put in so much effort to lift up and help those who need it. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of the Panther Family.

The classes are diverse and the individuals you may have plenty of stories and plenty of things to learn from your class, is a better school than people make it o...

One semester was enough for my freshman. Constant fighting. threats. commonplace classroom disruption coupled with zombie-like teachers and an indifferent principal made for a thoroughly terrifying experience.

As a parent, it is so incredibly frustrating to hear several teachers say during parent teacher conferences that they have to "teach to the lowest common denominator". The bar is set so low, yet students - of all races, even white - are still not proficient in math and English. Way too much time/ene...
