It isn't terrible school but they're are better options, over the years depending on how long you've been there lesson get a little repetitive.

AR Johnson is 6th grade through 12th and is a school focused on Healthcare and Engineering careers mostly. It gives you a taste of both in middle school and then it is more focused in high school on what track you desire. I am an athlete and did not like that there were few to none opportunities for middle schoolers. I had to wait until my senior year to get involved at the level I wanted to be. That is misfortunate since you want the academics plus the sports. The best part is that it is a competitive academic school and it means a lot to the students and parents. The administration changed while I was there and that is always a hard thing when you have to transition to new principals and people in the office. My senior year we did not have counselors at the beginning of the school year and our class needed to have that support for graduation. The athletic director is also a coach and we truly appreciated how she coached 2 soccer teams and still cared about the other sports.

It's a really good school, some minor downfalls, but the school opens a lot of opportunities for students to grow and learn. It is a work load but you know what you sign up for when you first apply.

There's a lot of clubs kids can join (HOSA, TSA, Skills USA, Orchestra, the Reading, Math, and Science Bowls, ACADECA, etc.) and a whole bunch of AP and Dual Enrollment classes for the nerds (including yours truly). This school offers classes and resources unavailable to other students focusing on STEM, Engineering, and Health Sciences.
