Elmwood Franklin is a wonderful school. My children have thrived here in every possible way. The Elmwood Franklin community fosters tremendous development, both academic and social, and instills a strong moral character in their exceptional students.

There is an active and busy train track behind the school. The middle schoolers are not monitored properly and some of the kids go out onto the track during recess/outside time. And they take pictures of it on their phones - which they are also not supposed to have on them. There is a very serious lack of oversight at this school and lack of monitoring and control of the kids. This is not a safe school.

It is hard to put into words how wonderful this school is. Children come home happy all the time and are learning in a creative and challenging enviornment everyday. As an alum and current parent, EFS prepared me for my own education and it is also putting the same foundation in place for my children. All students graduate prepared for High School and the years that follow.

The best investment we ever made. Lower school I would put more emphasis on emotional intelligence. Something that could never be requested/achieved in public schools. EFS has the potential to implement a class related to emotional intelligence, as a subject just like math, and reading.

My son transferred from a private Catholic school where he was bored, sad and frustrated. He changed 180 degrees at EFS. EFS is not as good as I had hoped. I sent my kid from public to private and didn't see much of a difference. Class sizes are the same, teachers are nice but mediocre, and parents are very cliquish. Tuitiion is too high and I'm certainly not getting what I paid for.
