Located on Whitnall Highway in the Magnolia Park neighborhood of Burbank, Brighton Hall is a highly rated private alternative school serving students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Brighton offers smaller class sizes, and with up to 100 students offers a student-to-teacher ratio of 10-to-1. First founded in 1961 as San Fernando Valley Professional School, Brighton School is a college preparatory school for young professionals with many notable alumni such as Jason Bateman, Blake Lively and Janet Jackson. Instead of homeschooling, students that are pursuing careers on studio or film sets benefit from live classroom Zoom sessions while on-set, rolling admissions, or the school’s shortened class schedules which end at 1:00 p.m. School clubs and after school enrichment programs offer a wide variety of choices that continually evolve based on student feedback. Their fitness program offers sports, cardio and resistance training. For mental stamina, there are weekly chess matches and yearly tournaments. Gamers can learn coding to program games while others join the electronics club to boost their STEAM education. The school also has clubs for immersing students in cooking, yoga, art, reading and student council. Impressively, students have combined their talents to create projects to help raise awareness of issues like mental health and the importance of clean drinking water.

I have been at Brighton Hall for a long time and have really understood how the school functions at this point. Many teachers have come and gone within the past few years and same with the students. Lots of kids will get jobs and have to leave school for long periods of time so at some times, the school will only have 40 students on campus.

This school is perfect for anyone who is in the industry, sports or transitioning from home schooling. The classes are small and the teachers care about the students. The tuition is extremely reasonable for a private school. The school recently got rid of the uniform policy. They listen to the stude...

As a parent, this school exceeds my expectations regarding being a child friendly and supportive environment. In addition to the curriculum core classes, they offer a myriad of after school clubs and activities. As a professional, this school is second to none in terms of academic rigor, including H...

We are incredibly lucky to be in this school. This is every parent and child dream. The teachers are absolutely amazing, the staff is friendly, the classes are small, and the kids are kind, always ready to help and super cool. After being neglected and completely left behind at the public school, my...

Horrible experience! Security is very low in the school, right next to an alley with doors open for anyone to go in to the school. Teachers/staff seen yelling at the kids and calling them names. Parents are not welcome or punished if concerned over their child. No communication and you have to call,...
