Shalhevet High School offers students in grades nine through twelve, a faith based private school education. The progressive and rigorous curriculum focuses on modern Orthodox Judaic studies and college preparatory coursework with opportunities to play sports on athletic teams and enjoy artistic endeavors. Shalhevet High School graduates are able to meet the goal of obtaining critical and creative thinking skills to encourage a sense of pride by honoring and upholding the traditional Jewish heritage and the impact it contributes towards building a prosperous community in the US and abroad. Students learn to support the State of Israel with a great deal of passion by participating in activities fostering a strong sense of Israeli pride. Located off Fairfax Avenue in the heart of Beverly Grove, centrally located to synagogues, religious centers and Kosher markets. The faith based high school was founded in 1992 by Dr. Friedman and based on the educational model of Harvard professor, Lawrence Kohlberg, to grow and develop modern learners with a deep connection to the greater Los Angeles Jewish community. Alumni earn college degrees with most studying at top Yeshivot and other Orthodox Jewish educational programs in Israel. Shalhevet High School alumni network offers mentorship opportunities for building lifelong relationships.
