GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part about Washburn is that I made lifelong friends there, I usually had the support I needed, but i wasn't pushed in the right direction. My teachers were very nonchallant about everything and didn't seem to care if one succeeded or not. They prized their top students and it felt like they pushed everyone else away because they weren't "good enough".

Grades are super inflated right now (I think the 50th percentile is like a 3.7), but the teachers and classes are rigorous and pretty fun.

It was a very fun high school where I met lots of people. I also learned a lot and feel ready for college by taking many advanced courses.

The main problem with this school is that it is too large and does not have enough resources. Most of the teachers are good, but their hands are full. I think that self motivated students do well here, but not students who need extra help.

The teachers in the IB program are amazing! I love that when I go to conferences or email a teacher they know everything about my daughter. Rhonda Dean has done so many great things and is really in touch with the students.

Even if you earn good grades at this school you still end up having to take all remedial college classes which proves that it is an inferior education to SW. My diploma is barely worth the paper it's printed on. Wish O had lived I. The right zip code to go to SW or lied about my address so I didn't...

The school needs to make sure that teachers put a syllabus and weekly updates on classroom lectures, readings and tests on their classroom pages so the kids understand what is expected of them. The school needs to get control of behavior. This district needs to understand that having an Autism progr...
