San Rafael Elementary is the only public school located within Annandale's official boundaries, between Avenue 64 and Lower Arroyo Park on Nithsdale Road just down the street from the San Rafael public library. It is part of the Pasadena Unified School District.
Approximately 400 students in kindergarten through fifth grade are educated at San Rafael Elementary every year, with a 30:1 student-teacher ratio that is slightly higher than the statewide average of 23:1. I went here to elementary school a few years ago. I had such a fun time and I really felt connected to the school. The teachers are awesome and really encourage you to do your best and the school is overall a supportive place. I built lifelong connections with friends here as well.
