Through my time at SPA, I have developed a great sense of community. That being said, the typical "high school culture" doesn't exist as much as a public school. There is a lack of school spirit, except at major sporting events such as state appearances.

We attended the lower school. It's expensive. A lot of the teachers don't have an education/background in teaching so classroom management, oversight and discipline are all issues. The lunch is too complex for little kids and you're not allowed to bring in your own. The resources are being piled behind those with learning challenges. They offer no enrichment for learners wanting more. If we could go back and do it all over again we would not attend the lower school.

SPA began preparing me for life beyond at a young age. The community is close and connected, and members always feel safe and supported. They push us to be better than our best, and it pays off. I think that SPA could have more diversity, as it is mostly upper class families.
