Established in 1906, San Fernando Middle School is a public school in the Los Angeles Unified School District and is located at 130 North Brand Boulevard in San Fernando. Home of the Falcons, this school shares a campus with the San Fernando Institute for Applied Media but maintains its own curriculum, bell schedule and teachers. Primarily servicing the cities of San Fernando and Sylmar and educating grades six through eight, San Fernando Middle School enrolls 560 students. With its key motto: “Be college ready by being high school ready,” the school offers a strong core curriculum and focuses on the unique needs of middle school-aged children and strives to provide an academic environment that sets the foundation for a successful high school and college journey. The school proudly sponsors CyberPatriot, which features the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition where teams actively compete to find cybersecurity vulnerabilities. In addition, the school offers Maker’s Space, an engineering program, and a 25 student Mariachi club. The school also supports artists through the Beyond the Bell Music and Entertainment Education, a music program where students are given the opportunity to learn how to play an instrument while learning about music theory. This program is free of charge, providing students with an excellent opportunity to develop their interests and talents.

this school is absolutely terrible, Horrible 8th grade science teacher named Peter Vasquez, he told a kid to not eat more candy because he was already diabetic and he called another kid slow. I recently just culminated from San Fernando Middle School. All of the teachers I had treated me with respect and took an approach to students.
