I've enjoyed by time so far at Ventura High School. I've had great teachers (for the most part) and have felt very safe, appreciated, and valued by staff and admin. With that being said there is definitely a lack of a larger school spirit and sense of community.

At Ventura High School, I have enjoyed a strongly beneficial two and a quarter years so far, and look forward to the rest of my time here. For the majority of students, the school may not be looked upon in such high regard, but I believe firmly that for those who are willing to apply themselves, it will serve them well.

My experience with Ventura High School has had lots of ups and downs. I believe we have many passionate teachers that have made a huge impact in my future interests and aspirations. Something I would like to see change in is the inclusion of student voices into administration decisions. Many of the decisions and changes made by administrators do not benefit or help the students and create additional problems. Our arts and music programs are spectacular and have made an immense impact on my happiness at Ventura High School.

Within just 4 years of attending VHS had gotten more than 6 bomb threats and at least 2 shooting threats. You might think oh the security will help with that right? wrong. The security there is terrible, they stop you for no reason and or they kick you out of indoor hallways again for no reason. "We...
