New York City developer Avdoo has begun selling condominium units inside a new residential complex it is planning in Brooklyn.
Avdoo said Wednesday that Boerum Place will be a six-story, 21-unit condo community at 110 Boerum Place in the borough's Cobble Hill neighborhood. The building will feature two- to five-bedroom units, each with an outside living space. Prices will start at $2.97 million, the developer said.
Avdoo is building Boerum Place after securing a $47 million construction loan from Valley National Bank, the developer announced last month.
The company did not disclose when construction of the building would be finished but told Homes.com that it's looking to move residents in next fall.
The forthcoming building will be designed in a way that blends the warmth and character of a Brooklyn brownstone with full-service amenities and high-end finishes, Avdoo CEO Shlomi Avdoo said in a statement.
"We have a unique opportunity to introduce a residential offering that harmonizes contemporary living with the timeless charm of Cobble Hill," he said.
Cobble Hill is perhaps Brooklyn's postcard neighborhood, with tree-lined cobblestone streets and Revivalist-style brownstones. The neighborhood's historic district also includes some 19th-century rowhouses in Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Romanesque Revival and Italianate styles.
Boerum Place will be a roughly 65,000-square-foot red brick building that sits on an entire block, Avdoo said. The building's architect will be Brooklyn resident Brent Buck, who has experience designing townhouses, Avdoo said.

"When I first moved to Brooklyn and Cobble Hill, I quickly fell in love with the scale of the neighborhood," Buck said in a statement on Wednesday. "Together with Avdoo, we sought to translate this scale to 110 Boerum Place. We felt it was important to design something that felt natural to the neighborhood, something that belongs here. What makes the building even more special is that there’s very little repetition — each unit has its own identity."
To be sure, Avdoo has been busy this year churning out residential buildings in Brooklyn. In August, the developer began closing at Bergen — a seven-story condo building with 105 units in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn. Bergen is also the first condo building completed by Mexico City-based architect Taller Frida Escobedo, who is also working on a new addition to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
