I am a white mother of mixed children. I moved to the ken-ton area so my kids could go to a better school and grow up and go to school with the children in our neighborhood. I was sadly mistaken. The administration all stick together. They don't really care about the problems there. My son gets written up all the time for the most ridiculous reasons. It's really hard when he comes home and says he got in trouble but the other child (who is white) didn't. I just feel at this point they are picking on him because of his skin color. The one teacher spoke to me like I was was a child and I quickly had to educate her on what she was telling me. It's sad that there is still racism in our schools. I regret buying a house here, but change has to start somewhere.
