Established in 2009, Alliance Leichtman-Levine Family Foundation Environmental Science High School is a highly rated public charter school named after the Leichtman-Levine Family serving students in ninth through twelfth grades. Home of the Grizzly Bears, the school enrolls approximately 340 students and is located at 2930 Fletcher Drive in Los Angeles. The school’s mission is to provide academic excellence and socio-emotional success for each student in the area of college preparation, career readiness and inspiration to have a positive impact on the community and the environment. Core classes include math, science, reading, English and social studies. Boasting higher than average statewide test scores for the state of California, the school also features an extensive offering in Advance Placement courses in English, world history, government, calculus and environmental science. In addition, the school features a celebrated special education program providing students with disabilities access to challenging grade level content. Additional programs of excellence include the school’s highly rated visual arts program, as well as featured courses in dance, drama, art and computer science. A variety of sports are offered at the school including soccer, basketball, cross country, volleyball and softball. The Grizzly Den, an inclusion-based homework and study club, meets twice a week to provide a supportive environment for students to work on class assignments.

The staff are really the best part of the school. They do their best to ensure safety, readiness for college, and efficient learning. They know how to deal with all types of students and offer all types of support.
