The PUC CALS school located in the Eagle Rock neighborhood serves sixth to 12th grade students through a combined middle and high school.
The charter middle school encourages each student's ability by providing learning assistance with tutors, and by organizing various clubs designed to stimulate talents. Puc California academy is overall a school that give students the help they need. Being in a Puc school is about being a community because of how small our school is.

Since PUC schools hire people who are still in school for their teaching credentials, I feel that the "teachers" only see PUC as temporary jobs. I have had multiple teachers leave in the middle of a semester throughout my education with PUC. I have had at least one teacher leave during the school year each year starting at seventh grade. During my freshman year I experienced two common core subject teachers leave, a math teacher and english teacher.

It. is a good school. The teachers were always nice. I met some of my best friend there and it was never boring. The thing I didn't like was that the school was small. The food wasn't that great. You couldn't really do much because there was no gym or place to go.
