The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My overall experience is well. I have no complains but I would like there to be more connection with each other.

SVAH is a welcoming school. They make sure to provide students materials and classes the students enjoy. The teachers and staff at SVAH are easy to talk to and the teachers teach lessons in an easy-to-approach way so that we understand what we are learning. Also, if the students are stuck/can't understand a concept, they encourage us to attend afterschool tutoring.

The teachers here and their qullity varies. Some are above average but others are way below average. The school is combined with 5-6 other schools to form Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools. Education opportunites are limited and classes do not prepare you for college and are way easy. Not at all diverse. When I say not diverse do not get me wrong. The school does consist of people of color of Latin descend but the school is only limited to that. 96% Latin and only 4% others. The graduation rate is ok but students who graduate usually go to basic Cal states, CCs or other 0.9% to tear 1 UCs. Some even drop out of college.
It's a good school and has really cool teachers that are understanding and know how to teach. Tutoring is also available by almost any teacher and since I've taken 6 AP classes at this school, the teachers really prepare you for the test and make you practice almost every class, you will only unders...
Average. I'm hopeful that our new principal will be able to effectively purge our school of ineffective, lazy instructors and bring in efficient administrators whom have a passion for student success.
This school is full of kids cursing, using their phones during class time for personal use, talking and laughing during lectures, and talking back to teachers as though they are clueless to the notion of an authority figure or respect for the teacher. The principal doesn't enforce the rules or regul...
