My time at Milpitas high school has been pretty great. The environment is very welcoming and this was evident during my freshman orientation. Sports have been a big part of my high school journey, and despite any unpleasant experiences with coaches, I have enjoyed every second of my sports.

As an academically inclined environment, it helped me thrive in ways I didn't think I could. I enrolled in classes on a whim, there was no sense of fear of the teacher or course, I simply wanted to learn. However, the downside of an environment like this is the competitiveness. I never felt so rushed and alone at times. It felt like a race to get to the finish line, however, it felt unclear what the prize was at times.

I joined Milpitas High School in my senior year. Despite the sudden change in school because of my family's job condition, I could fit in with Milpitas High School because of the help provided by teachers and counselors. I was worried about maintaining my GPA as it was a crucial year for my college application. However, I was very happy and grateful for all the support I got from my teachers to maintain my academics.

Both of my 2 sons went their entire 4 years here. They both graduated with honors. After high school, they both went on to universities. One now is a Marketing Director for a hi-tech company and the other is a medical physician.

Coming from a student who has been in Milpitas his whole life, I think this school is superior to many in this region. There are occasional teachers who get on my nerves but almost all the staff members are outstanding when it comes to contributing to the school. Many of the students know to strive...
