Home of the Bulldogs, Barry Goldwater High School is a public school for grades 9-12. Part of the Deer Valley Unified School District, the school offers competitive academic programs to make students both college and career ready. Named after the presidential candidate from Arizona, the curriculum focuses on common core subjects like science, mathematics, language arts, and social studies. Parents can participate in their student's education through volunteer opportunities and a PTO. Administration doesn't care about your personal well being, they only care about your grades. Some of the teachers are frigid and rude while others are extremely caring. Student teacher relationships can be very important and sometimes vital to a students success. My relationships with my teachers are what got me through high school.

The IB program is very impressive. Both of my children loved their classes and found the curriculum challenging but not ridiculously overwhelming. I definitely feel it did a good job preparing them for college level coursework.
