Incorporating all of the fundamentals of a Montessori Method education, Keystone Montessori is one of the premier Montessori schools in Ahwatukee.
Its mission is to inspire in children a passion for a lifelong love of learning in an environment that nurtures independence, creativity, confidence, and tolerance. The approach also emphasizes developing a sense of responsibility for self and community based on the principles and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.
Since 1995, Keystone Montessori has served toddlers, elementary students, and adolescents up to 15 years of age. The Children’s House program, created for three-to six-year-olds, is designed to encourage each child to move, touch, and manipulate. Cooking classes, learning in nature, and hands-on learning are all elements of a typical day at Keystone Montessori.
Elementary and adolescent programs also incorporate student-led learning to foster independence, confidence, and growth. An example of programming in these age groups is students working as a group to find ways of making money to show a direct experience of the economic connections in a working society.
Keystone Montessori is tuition-based and includes an enrollment process that starts with an informational meeting. The school’s beautiful five-acre campus is one of the many differentiators that make Keystone Montessori an exceptional educational experience.
