I think most school has golden days and for DCS that time is finished. They think they are the best and you are going to have very hard time there in case you have any problem with a teacher or staff. Involvement and expectations is a lot but your child does not get what you are trying hard for. The classroom is mixed most teacher does not even teach much they expect children to lean from each other or parents. Some teacher have very unpleasant manner and school does not care about that. They just support each other on any case. Schools have small size backyard compared to children with so Many issues in drop off and pick up. kids always have problems with the play material in the backyard because of not having enough. Administrative are not friendly and helpful when you have any problem in school especially the principal. The Principal has a hard time between her personal feeling and management fairly at school and if you need her to help she definitely do whatever she wants.

Great middle school, horrible math program, food was kind of gross, but overall it was a great experience and a lot of fun.

Our children went to discovery charter 1 for a few years but we recently moved them out of there. Not the school that we signed up to back when we did. The current supervisor is awful. She has no clue and no compassion. Doesn't care about what is best for the child. Kinder and first grade teachers are awesome but starting second grade there is no structure and the classroom environment is very disruptive.

Terrible school, my child was bullied there when she was in kindergarten by 1st graders. The counselor actually had to teach her how to tell and say, "don't hit me!"The principal is bad, she likes to talk but do nothing.

If your kid is different in anyway the teachers and parents will take advantage of that. If your kid isn't a little adult, sitting quietly for hours at a time, they will assume your kid is bad.
