i went to nova for high school. i would not recommend this school if you are poc, unless you are comfortable with speaking up for yourself. the school is a pwi, lgbtq friendly and very very yt. the staff say they are for racial justice but my friends and I don't see it. teachers dont take accountability when they do microaggressions, for example. most teachers have been there for decades, there seems to be lots of tension among them and their teaching skills are not so great. i often felt lost from the lack of structure in classes. many students are on their phones not paying attention and teachers just let the same students talk. if you have good friends and find the right staff who's supportive it will be survivable, hopefully. i barely made it out.

I was a sophomore and freshman when I was at nova the school has a lack of resources but the teacher are very friendly and supportive. The classes there are very open-ended and you can even make you own class. If you are looking for open-ended classes have supportive teachers this is the place to go!

I didn't learn much there, the teachers in my experience were not as professional as they think they are, they allow students to be disrespectful to others, and that school was WAY too politically correct. If you say one thing considered wrong students AND teachers get easily get triggered and offen...

I cannot recommend this school to folks who have other options. If it is the only option available to you, it may be better than nothing.

Nova was a game-changer for my son, who had been bullied in middle school. Students build strong bonds with teachers who serve as mentors and advocates. The curriculum is highly engaging and students are held to high standards. We need more schools like this!

I really love this school. It allows me to be independent while still catching me when I fall. Sometimes I feel like I'm not doing enough work or the teachers aren't assigning a lot of homework, but then I go into my classes and realize that the amount of work I'm doing in my classes is a lot. It's...
