School's academics have declined greatly in recent years (since Phillips took over). Diversity (racial and economic) is spoken of constantly, but is not reflected in the student body. Sports facilities are poor in comparison to peer schools. SAAS is just not worth the nearly-Lakeside tuition. Too bad, because at one time it was headed on the right track.

Weak academics brought about by grade inflation, not very good teachers (high turnover), little rigor, no student accountability. If you're able to kick in $50K for a few good arts classes (music, drama) and a feel-good entitled environment, go for it. Otherwise, your kid is better off in a decent public school with a good honors program.

They navigated virtual/remote, and then hybrid learning to the best of their ability. They were eager to get the student back in person. Sports seem to take priority over science/arts extracurriculars. Many class options and resources for students and exposure to new topics
