Thomas Edison Elementary School, named after the famous American Inventor, is a public school serving students in kindergarten through fifth grade and part of the Burbank Unified School District. Named the Edison Chargers, with their appropriately themed mascot being a lightbulb, their motto reads: "The brightest school in Town".
Located on Chestnut Street in the Chandler Park zone, Thomas Edison is home to 23 teachers and 560 students with the average class size not exceeding 30. There are several after school programs for children in addition to the Armenian Language and Culture program. For those looking to explore their athletic side, Burroughs High Cheerleaders host a mini camp for young aspiring cheerleaders during the fall. Bad school, the system doesn't care about your well-being or mental health. I can say from experience. I was a victim of being bullied at this school and the teachers I had didn't care, they knew I was getting bullied but they did no action whatsoever.
