The diverse architecture and convenience of Forest Hills
Just 5 miles from downtown Augusta, Forest Hills is a large neighborhood with classic and modern home styles and diverse recreation. It borders the affluent Summerville historic district and residents enjoy a quiet lifestyle and plenty of walkability. “The military bases draw much interest from people moving in and out,” says Mary Williams, a Realtor with Century 21 Jeff Keller Realty, who has been selling in Augusta for nearly two decades. “With new jobs coming from the cyber security center at Fort Eisenhower, it’s a popular area right now.” The renowned Forest Hills Golf Club takes up a considerable portion of Forest Hills. There’s also a shopping area in the southern section of the neighborhood. Besides the eclectic and sometimes historic architecture, residents of Forest Hills enjoy the community for its convenience.

Forest Hills' classic Colonial Revivals and modern homes
Forest Hills is a vast neighborhood, and home styles and price points change by the street. Some feature simple brick-front ranch styles and bungalows, usually selling between $250,000 and $350,000. On Park Avenue, buyers can find large modern homes and well-kept classic styles like Colonial Revivals and Tudors. Prices for maintained vintage homes and contemporary properties fall between $450,000 and $700,000. For the most part, Forest Hills is highly walkable, with wide sidewalks shaded by tall trees. Almost every home has a yard, ranging in acreage as the price rises. "It's one of the most desirable areas in Augusta. I know it sounds crazy with the different price points, but it makes the neighborhood unique in the fact there are so many different styles of homes," says Ross Trulock, an Augusta native Realtor with Blanchard and Calhoun.
Both modern and vintage homes in Forest Hills cater to diverse Augusta tastes.
Homeowners appreciate Forest Hills’ commitment to preserving its classic aesthetic.
