The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

In my whole high school career this school has treated me very well. To start I love the challenging classes I get put into. as well as the small class sizes so it's easier for teachers to get one on ones with their students. Another thing I love about this school is that they believe in second chances, if you're having trouble with a class you're able to switch to a similar class that suits you or get tutoring for that class.

I went to IMSA North for all of my high school years. And honestly, I don't regret coming here. At IMSA, the small class size experience allowed my teachers to be able to speak and pay attention to every student. If you were having trouble with any class, you would gladly speak to the your teacher or school counselor about it. I know that IMSA is a math and science focused school, but I would like it if it were able to include more class opportunities for those interested in music or more variety of AP, dual credit and elective classes. Over all IMSA is a great option for those who hope to gained a great education and be prepared for their future out of high school.

I was a student there and I absolutely loved the school until my senior year. The experience that I went through no child, or person for that matter should endure. If you want your children to be in a safe environment, with trustworthy faculty this may not be the place.
A male teacher kissed and hugged a 5yr old student making the child extremely uncomfortable. Mother works there and witnessed the situation. Mother addressed the teacher and his response was I’ve been anr my nephews over the holidays and that’s why I did it. Only a warning was given to the teacher,...
Pulled my child. Leadership honestly knows very little about education, how to help students grow, and what good teaching means. They have a job, want to maintain status quo, and really are weak educators and leaders. Others feel this way as well but what can you do. Completely out of the loop compa...
