Established in 2005, Isana Octavia Charter School is a public charter school in the Los Angeles Unified School District serving transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. Located at 3010 Estara Avenue in Los Angeles, the school is one of six Isana Academies in the greater Los Angeles area with a student enrollment of approximately 460. Home of the Lions, the name ISANA represents Innovative Socially Aware Network of Achievers. The school nurtures the vision of creating responsible citizens through academic excellence and lifelong learning. The institution is proud of its academic achievements, and students at Isana Octavia scored above average in math and reading in California statewide testing. In addition to its core curriculum of math, science, English, social studies and physical education, the school features the Independent Learners Program. The program is designed to cater to the individual needs of students and provide them with academic support based upon performance ranging from gifted students to below grade level, English learners, foster youth and students with learning disabilities. Isana Octavia Charter School sponsors an annual Earth Day celebration each year in April and a fall celebration after the start of the new school year. Another widely celebrated event is the annual dance show which is sponsored by the physical education department.

its pretty ok The students are pushed a lot academically but I have seen a recent change in its functions since there is a new principle. It slowly is going up in my eyes but sadly are stressing the students too much.

Sent my daughter here not to long ago. Staff did ntohing aboht the harassment she was facing from male students. Teachers didnt nothing to help her improve her enhlish even after asking them to. Over all not a good school daughter came out woth depression and anxiety

My daughter came here from 1st-3rd grade. She was enrolled in IEP. She achieved so much during her time here and I haven’t had any issues here other than that. My daughter isn’t a trouble maker and doesn’t get into trouble so no one messed with her either. The staff especially IEP are amazing!
