Overall the school is very bland and plain compared to other schools I've visited in the MCS district. Fights often break out regularly, it is still in a constant state of uncleanliness, and in the bathrooms students are actively using nicotine and marjuana. The college readiness class known as AVID has been a key part in searching for colleges and the application process. The teachers are nice and some are overly strict. I can't wait to leave.

The best part of Thomas Downey High school would be learning and growing from other students. Also teachers are helping by giving advice and being envolver with their students.

The best part of this school is that the honors and AP courses have some teachers that are really experienced in the work. The bad part is that some teachers don't allow late work or anything but it also prepares you for the college classes since they won't accept late work. Something that I would like to see change is some honors teachers because some of them don't really teach the curriculum well and people get confused about the work.

Recent graduate. Pharm school is cute and everything, but TDHS does not prepare you at all for tracking in to heavy hitting professions like law, medicine, and the more competitive doctorates. I felt vastly unprepared for college compared to my classmates at a prestigious university, and that was de...
