Established in 1980, Turtle Rock Private Kindergarten is a highly rated private school located at 1 Concordia in the city of Irvine. With a student population of 214, Turtle Rock is the first school in Irvine to attain the National Association Education of Young Children accreditation. Turtle Rock offers five programs serving various age groups ranging from infancy to kindergarten. Featured programs include Nursery, Toddler, Preschool, Junior Pre-Kindergarten and Private Kindergarten. The private kindergarten is a formal, comprehensive education program focusing upon the following subjects: literacy (reading aloud, interactive and independent reading); writing (modeled, shared, guided and independent writing); math (emphasis on fundamental concepts); science (investigation and observation) and social science, which is designed to expand the student’s view of the world beyond their immediate environment. In addition, a weekly Spanish class is offered with the intention of expanding young minds and enhancing an appreciation of other languages and cultures. Turtle Rock Private Kindergarten takes great pride in highlighting healthy relationships between students and teachers, state-of-the-art technology, planned learning activities, age-appropriate learning materials, consistent parent/teacher communication and nutritious meals and snacks.
