Love New Roots. It's a small and mighty little school. Any low scores are related to it being small, but the teachers are great and college readiness is on point.

I'm currently at the school and I think that the parents, teachers, and administrators are heavily involved and concerned about the students well being!

New Roots Charter School gave me the confidence, grit, and perseverance to be where I am today. The teachers give a holistic school experience that allowed me to grow without confinements and gave me the ability to be self-reliant. The only thing I would change is the amount the teachers are paid. Whatever it is, it isn't enough for all the good they are bringing to their students.

Most teachers are super great. The administration is super manipulative but super supportive of students. I went for years and wouldn't recommend it to others...but I never left.

I would rate my experience with a zero. This school doesn't prepare students for college. They focus entirely on environmental issues instead of academic ones. Not to mention they put students in unnecessary classes which isn't required by the state, as well as creating toxic situations for the stud...

I would rate this school 1 out of 5 mostly due to weak administration and poor academic performance. Ithaca has very high achieving, safe and well run schools. I can't understand why parents and students pick a school like this.
