Home of the Hawks, Aldama Elementary School in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of northeastern Los Angles serves approximately 500 children in preschool through fifth grade. Located on North Avenue 50 near the San Rafael Hills, Aldama Elementary School stretches the entire block, has a large play yard and is known for its safe community environment. Built during the 1920s in Spanish Colonial Revival style, the school provides a rich academic environment that emphasizes lifelong learning and CARES values: Community, Academics, Respect, Environment and Success. Along with reading, writing and arithmetic, the school provides a strong creative arts program. Students may participate in the school’s Education Through Music program, which provided instruction in theater as well as playing an instrument, its Enrich LA program, which teaches students about gardening, healthy living and the environment, and its dual language program, where students can learn both English and Spanish. Parental involvement is valued at Aldama Elementary. Parents have many opportunities to assist the school, such as helping with fundraisers and green team activities.

Well I used to go here because my parent thought it was a bad school when it wasn’t and has an amazing community unlike Arroyo seco museum science magnet and they seem to be the only school trying their best and hardest to the extent to stop bullying and that makes me feel a lot more better unlike a...
