Established in 1965, St. Francis Xavier School is a private Catholic school that began as a few humble classrooms in the church and a portable building behind it. Today, the school is thriving. Classes take place in a two-story facility with 11 classrooms, a school library, a computer lab and gym.
St. Francis Xavier School serves students in the city of Burbank from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. Located at 3601 Scott Road in Burbank, the school enrolls about 230 students. Its mission is to teach the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church and ensure academic excellence.
St. Francis Xavier School is proud to take a holistic approach to each child’s needs, with a focus on intellectual, social, spiritual and emotional growth. The core curriculum includes studies in religion, English and Spanish, math and science, as well as computer lab and social/emotional skills.
St. Francis Xavier School is committed to the fine arts, with theater being its primary focus. Students may participate in plays, choir or an after-school arts program. Other extracurricular activities include chess, ukulele and sewing clubs, as well as robotics.
Throughout the year, students enjoy a host of annual activities and celebrations. These include Johnny Appleseed Day, Blessing of the Animals, Kite Day, Peace Maker Celebration, Dr. Seuss Week, an Easter Egg hunt and a Mother’s Day tea.

SFX is an amazing school. It was amazing when I went there and it's even better now that my kid goes there. I heard there were issues a few years back (before I enrolled my child) but the school did address them. Since we joined, they have hired a lot of new teachers and I must say they're top notch...
