Established in 1885, San Fernando Elementary is one of the oldest public schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Rich with history, the school’s Camino Real bell was ordered in 1889 when the school was originally part of the San Fernando School District. Located at 1130 Mott Street in San Fernando, the school offers a dual language two-way immersion program. The school is committed to producing high quality literacy in two languages. Given the mission, teachers instruct one half of the day in Spanish and one half of the school day in English. Serving kindergarten through fifth grade in the cities of San Fernando and Sylmar, the school has an enrollment around 500 students. San Fernando Elementary is proud to feature a core curriculum focusing on math, science, technology, physical education, and the arts. The school celebrates and sponsors sustained art programs featuring dance, instrumental music, theater arts, as well as visual arts. San Fernando Elementary strives to nurture and help students to develop into healthy, responsible citizens with critical thinking abilities and a dual language mastery with high levels of literacy in both languages. With its strong academic curriculum and variety of programs offered, this esteemed school provides its students with the resources and opportunities to thrive.

San Fernando Elementary is a great school...The office staff is nice the teachers are very good .The only problem that the school has is the prinicipal she is rude to the parents and some of the volunteers.She does not like opiniones from the parents that dont agree with what she is doing in the sch...
