Going into freshman year I knew nobody at the school. With opening arms and very welcoming staff I was able to find a home. I also have met and became good friends with other kids from our school. Our school is like a brother hood. Attending sports events with these other boys has been a very special experience. The teachers are very engaging in class and always there for extra help whether it's school related or home related. The administration at the school is one of the finest I have experienced coming from public school distraction East Aurora middle school. Our school also offers 4 religious retreats and I have participated in 3 of them. Canisius also offers a wide variety of clubs and will even let you start up and lead a club. Last year I led "Crusader's against cancer". The club consisted of me solely raising 1,900 to buy children Christmas grifts at Oishei children's hospital.

From grades K-8, I attended a well-respected public school system (Orchard Park), but by the end of middle school, I decided I wanted a greater challenge and enrolled at Canisius High School. Other than proposing to my wife, this was the best choice I've ever made. From an academic perspective, CHS...

My son has had a mixed experience at Canisius. He has had some excellent courses/teachers but others have been very weak. On paper, there is a wide range of extra-curricular activities though sports are prioritized above all other activities. The music program (particularly the band and string ensem...

I am a sophomore currently and overall my Canisius experience has been good, but not great. The school is challenging to most kids, and does give 1-2 maybe 3 hours of homework a night. The teachers are very good for the most part but can honestly say that some can AT TIMES be less than eager to help...
